Indonesia is an increasingly important source market for international higher education. As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, it combines a large youth population, a growing middle class, and rising demand for internationally recognised degrees.

Outbound university-level enrolments from Indonesia have grown by approximately 25% over the past five years, reaching more than 55,000 students studying globally.

The expansion of international and bilingual schools is also strengthening the pipeline of students with globally recognised qualifications, including A-levels and the IB, creating long-term potential for higher education student recruitment.
