Australia: Australia doubles post-study work visa application fee

On 1 March 2026, the Australian government raised the application fee for its post-study work visa – Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) – for the third time in just over a year. The new cost, AUD$4,600, makes the 485 visa the most expensive post-study work visa in the world. Australia’s student visa (Subclass 500) is also the costliest visa of its kind, with a current application fee of AUD$2,000.
